The Maker Collective

At the Makers Collective 2024 , Eng.Salam Abualhayjaa, the first Jordanian spacesuit designer, showcased her spacesuit prototype. This presentation was a powerful example of empowering the next generation in science, engineering, and innovation, demonstrating the impact of youth-driven innovation on Jordan’s role in the global space community, and showing how inspiring youth in STEM can shape Jordan’s future in space exploration.

During this year’s Maker Collective, MENA presented the MENA Analog Mission in Wadi Rum, sharing the story of simulating life on Mars and the mission’s scientific goals.
Visitors had the opportunity to meet the analog astronauts, ask them questions, and explore what life inside the habitat is really like.
